Ordering Information
For the 2009 growing season, we offer:
- Pasture Perfect Roaster Chicken ($2.85/lb)
These chickens are raised for 8 weeks and have a dressed weight of 4-6+ pounds. These plump birds are perfect for a family of 4 and are great no matter how you cook them. - Pasture Perfect Heritage Roaster Chicken ($3.99/lb)
A new addition for 2009, these Plymouth Barred Rock chickens are recognized on the Slow Food USA Ark of Taste for their outstanding aroma, flavor, and texture. Average weight of 4 pounds. Available ONLY on April 26. - Pasture Perfect Turkey ($2.79/lb)
Turkey is great for dinner any time of the year! Raised for 15 weeks, these birds dress-out between 14 and 20 pounds making for a meal and then some.
- Pasture Perfect Heritage Turkey ($3.99/lb)
This is the bird your grandparents ate at the holidays. Beautiful Bourbon Red turkeys are on the Slow Food Ark of Taste! Weight range is 8-14 lbs. Available ONLY on November 22.
How do I order?
A down payment of $5 per chicken and $15 per turkey is required for all orders. Please refer to the order form for our schedule of available dates. There are three ways to place your order:
- Print and fill out the order form found on this website. Mail it to us at 42395 Berweger Road, Ashland WI, 54806. Don’t forget to include your downpayment!
- Call us with your order at (715) 278-3978.
- Sign up at Chris Duke’s farm stand at the Ashland Area Farmer’s Market. The Market begins in June, and runs every Saturday from 8am-noon on Chapple Avenue in Ashland.
A downpayment is required when placing your order. Make down payment checks payable to Pasture Perfect Poultry. At pick-up time, you will pay the remainder of your balance directly to the farmer.
Where do I pick up my order?
You will pick up your freshly butchered birds at one of our three farms. We will call or email you two weeks prior to your pick-up date to tell you at which farm to pick up your order. All order dates fall on Sundays (except pre-Thanksgiving turkeys) and pick-up time is always 5-8pm. You may also pick up your poultry on Monday (5-8pm), but keep in mind that your poultry will be frozen. If you are unable to pick up your poultry on either of these days, please call/email us to arrange for a different time.
Refer to the maps section to find directions to our farms. The birds are processed the day of your pick-up and are quickly cooled to safe temperatures. Please bring a cooler to transport your birds home.
